Professional profile: Public administration, Local democracy and governance. Lars Eric Ericsson has long experience in senior positions in central and local government in Sweden.

Before joining SKL International he worked as Under-Secretary of State in the Ministry of Local Government, Mayor and Finance Commissioner of Uppsala City, President of the Swedish Association of     Local Authorities and has also held the position of President of the International Union of Local Authorities (IULA). He has also been a County Governor for a ten year period and a Senior Adviser in the Ministry of Finance. Lars Eric has been chairing several Government commissions on different issues.
