SKL International contributes to Jordan’s National Resilience Plan

During December 2013, SKL International assisted UNDP and the Government of Jordan to develop the Local Governance component of a National Resilience Plan to mitigate the impact of the Syrian refugee crisis on Jordanian host communities. The work on the National Resilience Plan, which involved intensive preparatory work together with a national Task Force involving Ministries, Municipalities, UN agencies, donors and NGOs, considered wide-ranging interventions to support a resilience approach (coping, recovering, sustaining) in Jordanian Municipalities most affected by the refugee crisis. The Plan is currently being finalized and is expected to be presented at a donor conference in Kuwait on 15 January 2014.
