SKL International supports 14 municipal service centers in Ukraine
On 24th of January 2017, SKL International signed a memorandum of cooperation with representatives of 14 amalgamated communities on establishment of administrative services centers.
During the event, Deputy Minister of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine Roman Chuprynenko thanked the international donor organisations for their support to important democratic reforms in Ukraine: “One of the main objectives of decentralisation is to create a comfortable and safe environment for people living in the country. And today, we open a new page of our cooperation in this area. I am convinced that the well-organized work of Administrative Services Centers established in the amalgamated communities will be an example for others and demonstrate the feasibility of the reform for the benefit of people and community”.
Administrative Services Centers in the 14 amalgamated communities will be renovated and furnished with new equipment, relevant municipal and service center staff will be trained, and public awareness campaign will be launched to highlight the activities of the Administrative Services Centers by the end of the 2017.
