Description of Project

The project aimed at gender-mainstreaming the decision-making process in two pilot municipalities in Lithuania. The project was carried out together with the Equal Opportunities Ombudsman Office of Lithuania with focus on:

• Recommendations on production of gender statistics on municipal level
• Increased user competence in use of gender statistics on municipal level
• One person in each municipality appointed as responsible for the method
• Recommendations on how to use the 3R-method in municipal planning
• Method accepted as a tool for achieving gender-balanced decisions by the local governments in the two pilot municipalities
• Increased awareness and knowledge of equality planning on municipal level
