Vehicles enabling service provision to citizens in remote areas

During 2023-2024, the SALAR International PROSTO project delivered 10 vehicles with equipment to war-affected hromadas in different regions of Ukraine. Mykhailo-Lukashivska hromada of Zaporizhzhya oblast is the latest to receive a vehicle and equipment to provide services to residents in the frame of 7th round crisis support.

Amidst the Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, SALAR International’s project PROSTO, Support to Services Accessibility in Ukraine, has adapted its activities and added a focus on crisis support for municipalities. Since Ukrainian territories, once under occupation, are being liberated, the project has started to deliver IT equipment and vehicles to renew the service provision in municipalities, along with institutional support.

About 3 million residents live in the 162 municipalities that have received such support from the project. Among them, more than 70,000 citizens, living in the smallest settlements far from the municipality's center, have received access to public services as a result of the 7th round crisis support.

During 2023-2024, the PROSTO project delivered 10 vehicles with the equipment to the war-affected hromadas in different regions of Ukraine. As a result of this around 190 000 citizens have received access to public services.

In partnership with hromadas, the project experts have summarized practical experiences and developed an institutional support package for more effective use of mobile service provision.
