Anna is currently working as Component Leader for SymbioCity Kenya, a collaboration between SKL and Council of Governors, Kenya, focusing on sustainable urban development. Anna is providing management support and technical assistance to the implementation in seven Kenyan counties, with a special focus on project design and monitoring and evaluation.
Anna carries over twelve years’ experience of working in international development at both head quarter and field office level. For several years, Anna was based in Sub-Saharan Africa where she held technical advisory and program management positions with local as well as international civil society and the United Nations.
Anna has in-depth knowledge of project management, monitoring and evaluation, organisational capacity development and policy and advocacy work. She has led the coordination of networks and multi-stakeholder groups and organised large conferences and seminars, both in Sweden and abroad. Anna has experience of working with several different donors and has developed successful project proposals for new programmatic initiatives. Anna’s thematic expertise covers human and child rights, governance, humanitarian assistance, civil society strengthening and democratization.
Anna holds a Master’s degree in International Humanitarian Action from the University College of Dublin and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science from Stockholm University.
