Request for Proposals: National Coordinator to support Local Government reform in Moldova

SALAR International is searching for an experienced National Coordinator or Senior National Coordinator to support Local Government reform in Moldova.

SALAR International are starting an inception phase in Moldova and are looking for an experienced National Coordinator or Senior National Coordinator to join our team.

You will be responsible for coordination, planning and providing technical and logistical support for an inception phase from August 2024 – January 2025. The role is anticipated to entail close collaboration with a broad selection of stakeholders both at national and local level, municipalities and international donors.

The main objective of the role is to ensure strategic focus and focus on results, develop and maintain contacts with key stakeholders in Moldova and SALAR international in Stockholm, organise and oversee planning and logistics and support on the technical and contextual aspects of the inception phase. As the National Coordinator You will work in close cooperation with our Stockholm management and under the supervision of our Project Manager.

To succeed in this job, self-leadership in planning, prioritising, accompanying and follow-up are key requisites. You are creative and have strong problem-solving skills. You build trust with those you work with and empower others to participate and influence. Experience with project planning, coordination and logistics is an asset.

You enjoy collaborating with a broad range of actors and you are skilled at creating and maintaining relationships over time where you also value the opportunity to learn from others. You have well-developed communication skills. You enjoy working in an inter-cultural setting, you are reflective and self-aware.

Location and duration

The contract is 6 months starting on August 1 and the position requires being stationated in Chisinau. The role may include frequent travel across Moldova.
