Request for Proposals: Programme Coordinator in Ukraine

SALAR International and Avfall Sverige is searching for a Programme Coordinator for the programme WM4U - Strengthening of Municipal Waste Management in Ukraine, whom will oversee the administration and logistics tasks and organise the financial, administrative and logistical procedures in Ukraine.

The Coordinator will play an important role in establishing the procedures from start, including setting up the programme office in Kyiv and establishing guidelines related to administrative, financial and logistic issues.

Working closely with the management units in Stockholm and Kyiv the Programme Coordinator will oversee the administration and logistics tasks and organise the financial, administrative and logistical procedures in Ukraine.

Examples of main responsibilities of the role is ensuring integration of anti-corruption measures in administrative and financial processes; coordinating the work with suppliers and short term-experts, incl organisation of meetings and events (contracts, invoices, quality control, deadline follow-up etc.); Coordinate the registration of the programme in Ukraine and ensure that the appropriate legal and financial obligations are followed etc.

As the Programme Coordinator you need to have strong organisational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks at once and to coordinate a high number of people and activities. The ability to oversee details and make priorities independently is also a requirement. As the Programme Coordinator you also need to be fluent in English and Ukrainian.

Location and duration

The position is a 36 months full-time position, with possibility of extension. Physical presence in the project office in Kyiv, Ukraine is highly encouraged.
